Pyongyang Hardcore Resistance

Pyongyang Hardcore Resistance - Corea [Resistance 2] with MV

H.J.Freaks | MySpace Music Videos

An inspiring example of etnoteck flow: a digital hardcore duo in Pyongyang processing loops from North Korean propaganda music and South Korean pop as resistant feedback in systems of monoculture. The product was smuggled through China and was released on Dramacore - a netlabel.

In their own words:
Pyongyang Hardcore Resistance is an extreme electronic music duo. I, the founder of the duo have lived most of my life outside North-Korea, but I wanted to move back to my family in Pyongyang. I love hardcore music very much, but there is no room for this kind stuff here so it's best to keep it a secret. The other half of the duo has spent his whole life in North-Korea and got in touch with hardcore through me. We decided to start making Korean hardcore anarchy, bassdrum of truth! We use Fruityloops and get influence from smuggled South-Korean and foreign music and movies and raping North-Korean nationalist music. Hardcore gives us lots of strength and courage to fight the system from underground and keep on living despite the shit we have to see and experience. We are very grateful that you are spreading our music in Internet! We wish for a peaceful reunion of both Koreas and for G.W. Bush to mind his own fucking business!
